Psalms 41: 1-2: 1.) Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. 2.) The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive: and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
God will always lead us through all situations that we encounter, bringing us out on the other side in a better position than what we entered. God expects us to lend a helping hand to others in need just as he does for us.
Putting others ahead of ourselves is a selfless act that pleases God. He in turn will bless us for doing selfless acts. It also reminds us that there are others that have worse circumstances than we do. Doing just the smallest things to help others will bless you in so many ways, including the feeling that you've helped someone that needs it. We've all been the recipient of the smallest acts of kindness in our lifetimes, so we know how these small actions can dramatically affect someone else's day. Enter each day trying to be a blessing to others, and you will find yourself reaping blessings at every turn.
